Data handling when dejiren integrates with generative AIs

This article describes how dejiren handles the data shared with each generative AI.

The VA that integrates with the generative AI sends and receives data via a connector that connects to the API of the connected services.

  • Opt-In is a mechanism in which users express their explicit consent (participation) and provide their data for training and use of the generative AI. Opt-Out is a mechanism in which users do nothing and their consent (participation) is considered automatic, but if they wish to refuse (non-participation), they can do so themselves and exclude their data from training and use of the generative AI.
  • dejiren will not accumulate data entered by users and disclose it to third parties.
  • The handling of data by the connected services will depend on the regulations stated by each generative AI vendor. Each vendor’s regulations clearly state that the data entered will not be used for learning as follows. Each vendor’s regulations may be revised, so please check the latest official information.

OpenAI

Enterprise Privacy at OpenAI

  • By default, we do not use your business data for training our models. If you have explicitly opted in to share your data with us (for example, through our opt-in feedback mechanisms (opens in a new window)) to improve our services, then we may use the shared data to train our models.
  • Except for certain endpoints and features listed in our platform documentation (opens in a new window), OpenAI may securely retain API inputs and outputs for up to 30 days to provide the services and to identify abuse.

Introducing data residency in Asia

  • No training on customer data: By default, OpenAI’s models are not trained using data from ChatGPT business plans or the API unless a customer explicitly opts in to share data with us.

Azure OpenAI Service

Data, privacy, and security for Azure OpenAI Service

  • Your prompts (inputs) and completions (outputs), your embeddings, and your training data:
    – are NOT available to other customers.
    – are NOT available to OpenAI.
    – are NOT used to improve OpenAI models.
    – are NOT used to train, retrain, or improve Azure OpenAI Service foundation models.
    – are NOT used to improve any Microsoft or third party products or services without your permission or instruction.
    – Your fine-tuned Azure OpenAI models are available exclusively for your use.

Google VertexAI

Gemini Apps Privacy Hub

  • As outlined in Section 17 “Training Restriction” in the Service Terms section of Service Specific Terms, Google won’t use your data to train or fine-tune any AI/ML models without your prior permission or instruction. This applies to all managed models on Vertex AI, including GA and pre-GA models.

  • Regarding prompt logging and fraud monitoring, the company clearly states “We do not use data that you provide us to train our own models without your permission.”

Amazon Bedrock

Securing generative AI: data, compliance, and privacy considerations

  • At Amazon, we don’t use your prompts and outputs to train or improve the underlying models in Amazon Bedrock and SageMaker JumpStart (including those from third parties), and humans won’t review them. Also, we don’t share your data with third-party model providers. Your data remains private to you within your AWS accounts.
