How to set up a connection between MotionBoard and dejiren

This article describes how to set up a connection between MotionBoard and dejiren.

Prerequisites and required permissions

If you are using the on-premises version of MotionBoard

You must first sign up for the dejiren Bridge service and install the Bridge Client on the MotionBoard server.

Setup overview

After confirming the URL, domain, and the account required to connect for MotionBoard, create the connection setting in dejiren.



Setup procedure

Step 1. View the MotionBoard information

Note down the following information to be entered on the MotionBoard login screen.

Item Description
URL Note the part of the URL in red.

Example: https://xxxxxx.motionboard.jp/motionboard/login

xxxxxx will vary depending on the type of MotionBoard.
Cloud version: server name
On-premises version: private IP address

Tenant ID This information is used to identify the MotionBoard environment to be connected.
If you are not asked to enter it on the login screen, you do not need it.
User ID The user ID used by VA to connect to MotionBoard must belong to a role that has been granted permission to execute the WebAPI.
Password Enter the password for the above user ID.



Step 2. Create a connection setting in dejiren

  1. Go to the dejiren Virtual Assistant (VA) management screen and click the Connections tab.


  2. Click New on the left.


  3. The Create New Connection Settings dialog will appear. Click MotionBoard and click Next.


  4. The Create New Connection Settings page will appear. Enter a value in each field.

    Connection name Enter any name to identify this connection setting. Required
    Tenant Enter the tenant ID noted on the MotionBoard login screen.
    User ID Enter the user ID that the VA will use to connect to MotionBoard . Required
    Password Enter the login password for the above MotionBoard user ID. Required
    URL Enter the string you noted on the login screen in step 1 into the part “xxxxxx” of the URL below.
    – URL used for MotionBoard Cloud
    https://xxxxxx-up.motionboard.jp/motionboard/
    – URL used for MotionBoard Cloud for Salesforce
    https://xxxxxx-up.variocloud./motionboard/
    – URL used for MotionBoard (on-premises)
    https://xxxxxx:8787.motionboard/
    Required
    Bridge After installing the Bridge service, select the Bridge service you want to use from the pull-down menu. Required only if you use the on-premises version
    Personal Authentication Select this checkbox if you want to authenticate MotionBoard for each dejiren user who uses the VA to which this connection setting is applied. Usually not required



  5. Once you enter all fields, click Test Connection.


  6. If the connection is successful, the message “Connected successfully” will be displayed. Click Close.


  7. Click Create to complete the creation of the connection setting.


  8. Returns to the connection settings list page.



This completes the creation of a new MotiobBoard connection setting.
